Welcome to FindingTheChurch.com We are here to help you find your way through all the false doctrine and point you toward the Church defined as "you who have been called by God to be his own holy people." (1 Corinthians 1:2) The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesian elders, "And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again. I declare today that I have been faithful. If anyone suffers eternal death, it's not my fault, for I didn't shrink from declaring all that God wants you to know. So guard yourselves and God's people. Feed and shepherd God's flock - his church, purchased with his own blood - over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders. I know that false teachers, like vicious wolves, will come in among you after I leave, not sparing the flock. Even some men from your own group will rise up and distort the truth in order to draw a following. Watch out! (Acts 20:25-31) Not much has changed since the first century. The Gospel Paul preached of grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone is still true today. And the "vicious wolves" are still distorting this truth. The Bible tells us this distortion of truth will only get worse as we come to the end of the church age. The mission of this ministry is to help you stay away from the wolves and come to know and love the truth. Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, "You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:31-32) Second Thessalonians 2:1-12 warns of a time of great apostasy just prior to a pre-tribulation catching away of the Church. Many who call themselves the church are following after false teachers and are falling away from the faith. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. (2 Timothy 4:3) Instead of testing preachers and teachers by God's Word as the Bereans tested the Apostles, many people in the church today look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. The emergent movement has been more than happy to oblige and has"wormed their way into your churches" (Jude 3-4) with their mystical experiences and new age ideas. Many evangelical churches have fallen into Dominionism with its covenant/replacement theology. There are some Messianic groups who are bringing people back under the law of Moses instead of preaching the gospel of grace. (Galatians 2:21) Then there are the Charismatic and Pentecostal churches that have their members seeking after false signs and wonders (Isaiah 29:9-10) and the false teachings of the prosperity gospel. (I Timothy 6:5-11, Ephesians 5:5-7) Much of mainline Protestantism has been reduced to nothing more than a social club teaching a social gospel. (2 Timothy 3:1-5) There are many pastors who are so spiritually dead, they don't even understand what's wrong with The Shack! Purpose driven ecumenism has infiltrated every corner of the church. Unity has become the prevailing message despite the false doctrines of participating churches and groups. (Romans 16:17) The end game of the world ecumenical movement is a one-world religion aiding and abetting the one-world government of the antichrist. (Revelation 17:1-18) So what can we do? Well, one thing we cannot do is stop it. What is written will be done. But we don't have to put up with it personally. "But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed." (2 Corinthians 11:3-4) There are many Christians out there who cannot find a local church that even comes close to meeting Biblical standards. They find themselves silenced and ostracized by pastors and congregations who care more about the "latest ideas" (Acts 17:21) than the truth. If you can't find a Scripturally sound fellowship, read The Church Outside The Camp by Tricia Tillin. Your only option may be to find like-minded people in your area and start your own home church. Candlelight Christian Fellowship streams sound, biblical teaching and anointed worship live over the internet every Sunday. Living in Laodicea is not easy for those who understand the times. We offer you encouragement and hope as we all struggle to hold on to what we have in these last hours. In the words of Jesus: "Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown." (Revelation 3:10-11) We must "press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." (Philippians 3:14) Blessings In Christ, John and Judy |
