In a very touching farewell to the elders of the Ephesian church, the Apostle Paul said, "Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again. Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God. Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood. I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. So be on your guard!" Acts 20:25-31 (NIV)
Nothing has changed since the first century. The Gospel the Apostle Paul preached of grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone is still true today. And the "savage wolves" are still distorting this truth. The Bible tells us this distortion of truth will only get worse as we come to the end of the Church Age. The mission of this ministry is help you stay away from the wolves and come to know and love the truth. Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32 (NIV)
Our Pastor is Paul Van Noy at Candlelight Christian Fellowship in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is the greatest Bible teacher we have ever known and our ministry is accountable to him. Most of the teaching on this site is his. For now, our ministry is this web site and we are getting visits from all over the world. The next step is to take FindingTheChurch.com out into the real world with an RV ministry. We are in the process of selling our "stuff" to make this happen. Once we are on the road, we will teach the Gospel of Grace to anyone who will listen and contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints from coast to coast. We will continue to maintain this site and add a video blog to document our travels.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)
The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (NIV)
